NATURAL ELEMENTS
Dr. E. M. Penso has crafted unique wreaths and similar objects from natural elements including dried flowers, grasses and mushrooms, birds nests and other found pieces. The dried mushrooms and birds nests are quite real. Mushrooms are gathered during their peak growing season and dried, birds nests are gathered over the winter (after their occupants have moved on).
A physician in daily life, Dr. Penso is also an amateur mycologist and a member of the boston and American Mycologocal Associations.
